HIET comes under the aegis of Dhauladhar Education Society, which was registered in 2002 with the aim and objective to work for the upliftment of technical and medical education. The members of the society have vast experience in the field of professional and business sector. The primary stress is on achieving academic excellence. However, the members of the governing body are of the view that students must get various opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills in areas that they believe are important for their all round development. The members are passionate about grooming students not only as good technical professionals but also great human beings. Highly competent professionals are helping the society members to realize their dream in the field of education.

Minimum 50% for general category & 45% for SC/ST category in the +2 Board examination in any stream.
Passed/appeared in bachelor degree in Science or equivalent from recognized University securing at least 50% .

HIET feels immense pleasure in announcing that their institute has signed an MOU with YAMHA YTS(YAMAHA TRAINING SCHOOL) for educating and training the economically weaker youth, school dropouts of Himachal and other neighbouring areas that will enable them to become certified experts as 2-wheeler technicians and thereafter they could be employed gainfully at Yamaha Dealerships and become productive members of the society.
