Admission procedure for B.Tech
Eligibility:
The aspirant will need to complete their senior secondary exam or polytechnic diploma / ITI for lateral entry .
As per HPTU Norms admission to the first 50% of the seats shall be made on the basis of merit/rank/score obtained in Joint Entrance Examination (Main)-2017 {hereinafter referred as JEE (Main)-2017}. The remaining 50% seats will be filled up on the basis of merit of Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test- 2017 (here in after referred as HPCET-2017). In case the seats remain vacant after exhausting the merit of JEE (Main)-2017 and HPCET-2017, the remaining seats will be filled up on the basis of merit of 10+2 examination (as per HPTU Norms as indicated in the table below ) conducted by recognized Board or University. The number of seats remaining vacant, thereafter to be filled on the basis of each test/examination will be shifted and filled on the basis of next test/examination in continuous order.
Note:-The minimum/cut off marks to seek admission to B.Tech. degree course on the basis of JEE (Main)-017, HPCET-2017 and 10+2 shall be as follows:

Wherein the % indicates the marks obtained by the candidate in the entrance test/10+2 examination out of the total marks assigned to the entrance test/examination.
Lateral entry ( LEET ) for those who have successfully undergone the complete 3 year Polytechnic course, directly into the second year of the B.Tech courses, also available.
